This enabling works contract is to undertake certain works in preparation for a future main works contract to construct the new TP2 building LSHTM have planning permission for.
The enabling works comprise of; works to facilitate access for the main works into the courtyard (including utilities diversions); Demolition of existing buildings including asbestos removal; stabilisation of the grade 2 listed boundary walls; forming new TP1 reception and internal staircase (staircase 9) within the fully operational school building; forming UKPN substation enclosure (within TP1); ancillary works; including replacing the two fire escapes (for reuse) and temporary access
Works beyond the immediate boundary of the site include formation of cycle parking on the Genesis carpark, footpath crossover and boundary wall stabilisation.
