Summary
As part of the overall project for Eton College, our team on site is excited to be working within a classroom in the Lower School. The works involve the restoration and refurbishment of an original classroom dating back to 1440 and believed to be the oldest classroom still in use in the world! Works will include removal of the existing ceilings and replacement, repairs to plaster and redecoration of all walls and original windows. During the course of the works, extensive protection has been applied to the original features including wooden pillars inscribed by past students, the original workbenches and tables and the original wooden floors.
