Summary

The works split into two phases comprise the general refurbishment of the Grade II listed College Boarding House and adjoining Butler's Flat, part rebuilding and reordering of the Rear Entrance, Slab, Kettle Rooms, Common Room and surgery, alterations to the staff flat, reconfiguration and refitting of ablutions and toilets and other minor general alteration. In addition, renewal of the existing mechanical and electrical installations and the repair to the external fabric including brick/stone cleaning and repair and roof repairs  Phase 1 is now complete with the boys now in residence whilst we work on phase 2 which requires the refurbishment of staff accommodation immediately adjacent to the occupied boarding houses.  Finally, we will refurbish and restore an original classroom within the Lower School.  The classroom dates back to 1440 and is believed to be the oldest operational classroom in the world!
